Zero Tolerance Knives has released its new knives for 2016. Here are some highlights and the manufacturer descriptions and specs. If you’ve handled a knife by ZT, you know they are high quality pieces. Enjoy!
The new Zero Tolerance 0095BW offers a dramatic look and top performance.
The 0095BW is built with premium quality materials—from its S35VN blade steel to its solid titanium handles. S35VN ensures the 0095BW offers a reliable edge. Added niobium gives this powdered metallurgy steel improved toughness over S30V without loss of wear resistance. The end result is a sharp edge that lasts for a long time. Next, ZT adds a BlackWash™ finish to the 0095BW’s “harpoon-style” blade to give the knife a sleek, unified look and to hide hard-use scratches.
The high-performance blade is paired with a titanium handle with wide, contoured chamfers to provide a secure, comfortable grip. A titanium frame lock with a hardened lockbar insert secures the blade open during use. ZT’s KVT ball-bearing opening system lets you open the 0095BW with speed and efficiency. The 0095BW’s pocketclip is reversible for left- and right-handed tip-up carry. Finally, a decorative, two-toned pivot adds a finishing touch to the 0095BW, completing the look of this solid handful of precision.

Zero Tolerance and Les George have teamed up once again to create the new 0909. Les went back to his roots in designing the 0909, basing it on his popular Talos, which, in turn, was a production version of Les’ first custom knife, the FM-1.
Curves define the 0909. The rounded index finger contour, the machined scoops at mid-handle, and the deep arc leading to the blade tip all combine to give the 0909 its distinctive look. This heavy-duty powerhouse features premium materials like S35VN blade steel, G-10 handle scales, and extra-thick liners. The blade is nearly four-inches of S35VN stainless steel that’s strong, wear resistant, corrosion resistant, and tough. This high-end steel ensures the user of a sharp, reliable edge that will last a long time.
The handle is built of machined G-10, contoured for sure grip and to reinforce Les’ curved design concept. Strong, lightweight, and resistant to temperature changes, this glass-fiber material makes an ideal knife handle. To back the G-10 scales, ZT added extra-thick liners—like the ones found in our classic 0350 series. The beefy liners make the 0909 extremely stable and rigid, as well as providing a secure liner lock that holds the blade safely open during use. Finally, a reversible, deep-carry pocketclip allows the knife to ride comfortably low in the pocket for convenient everyday carry.

Zero Tolerance provides a dark, refined alternative to the original 0450 with the 0450CF.
This sophisticated ZT is a smaller option in the ZT family, yet offers a robust combination of durable, premium-quality materials. The blade steel is S35VN for exceptional toughness, wear resistance, and edge retention. The S35VN blade is DLC coated for matte-black good looks and enhanced performance. The front handle scale is carbon fiber, balancing the knife’s solid construction with lightweight convenience. The DLC-coated titanium back handle offers a secure frame lock—so you can always cut with confidence.
As an extra visual touch, ZT has added two emerald-green anodized-aluminum tube spacers that are especially eye-catching, standing out against the black handle. The 0450CF takes advantage of ZT’s KVT ball-bearing system to enable smooth, easy opening for either left- or right-handed users. A left/right reversible, deep-carry pocketclip rounds out the 0452CF’s basic feature set.
While it’s a smaller, more gentlemanly knife, the 0450CF proudly lives up to the overbuilt standards for which ZT is well known.

This is an interesting one, the 0456.
Zero Tolerance and Belarusian custom knife maker Dmitry Sinkevich have teamed up to produce the 0456. The 0456 offers the premium cutting power for which ZT is well known in a knife with standout looks that are just waiting to be shown off.
Based on Dimitry’s popular custom knife, The Pole, the 0456 features the 3-D rayed handle contours and custom blade shape that defined the original design. The high-quality CTS-204P blade steel is wear and corrosion resistant and takes an exceptional edge. The blade’s premium quality is matched only by its good looks—with an appealing two-tone finish that’s stonewashed on the flats and satin on the grinds. The 0456 opens with ZT’s KVT ball-bearing system for a quick, easy blade release. A titanium frame lock, with a hardened steel lockbar insert, firmly secures the blade open during use.
The 0456 deftly balances handsome appearance and solid utility. On the appearance side, the pivot hardware, custom aluminum backspacer, and left/right reversible pocketclip are finished in a brilliant blue. On the utility side, the 0456 offers top cutting capabilities and excellent edge-holding performance making it the perfect tool to take along with you on any bold adventure.

Another semi-custom upgrade in the 0804CF.
ZT and Todd Rexford have teamed up to create the 0804CF, based on Todd’s custom knife, the Gamma.
The nearly four-inch blade is made of fine-grained CTS-204P, a tough, wear and corrosion resistant steel ready for hard-duty. This powdered metallurgy steel features vanadium-rich carbides for top wear resistance while high chromium helps it resist corrosion. This high-performance blade is tungsten DLC coated. DLC gives the blade an attractive, matte finish as well as enhancing performance by reducing friction and improving hardness. The 0804CF’s handle has a carbon-fiber front and a DLC-coated titanium back. These premium materials make the 0804 both tough and lightweight. A titanium frame lock with hardened steel lockbar insert firmly secures the blade during use. The ambidextrous 0804 can be easily opened using the flipper and KVT ball-bearing system.
The 0804CF proudly declares its made-in-the-USA status with a handsome shield-shaped badge on the pivot head. ZT also added a custom aluminum backspacer and machined titanium pocketclip.
The 0804CF, from ZT and Todd Rexford, is a perfect fit when looking for a larger knife built for high performance.

Danish knife and toolmaker Jens Anso realized a long-time dream when he joined the ZT team earlier this year. One of the first results of our collaboration with Jens is the ZT 0220.
The 0220 is a sleek, practical design with custom touches that will make it a must-have addition to any knife enthusiast’s collection. The modified drop-point blade with slight recurve is made of premium S35VN stainless steel. This high-quality, powdered metallurgy steel is tough, wear resistant, and resists chipping. Additional niobium and vanadium carbides enable a razor-sharp edge and enhance edge retention. The 0220’s attractive stonewashed blade finish looks good and hides use scratches.
The 0220’s stonewashed blade is paired with bead-blasted titanium handles—a contrasting combination that makes the 0220 exceptionally handsome. Zero Tolerance’s KVT ball-bearing system makes it fast and easy to open, too; just pull back on the flipper. The 0220 also features a secure titanium frame lock with hardened steel lockbar insert and a reversible, deep-carry clip.
To enhance the 0220’s custom look and feel, Jens added a decorative pivot as well as a ZT logo medallion near the butt of the knife. Then, for an additional flash of color—as well as additional utility—the aluminum backspacer is anodized in eye-catching orange and has a built-in lanyard attachment.

Well, there’s your rundown of the new sharpies from Kai USA’s Zero Tolerance division. All these knives will be coming in 2016. I’m sold on ZT after buying my own 0566CF at Blade Show 2015.
